Chris Craft or Hacker...Wooden Boat
Nothing speaks to recreation and leisure more than being a passenger on a Chris Craft or Hacker, or any wooden boat on a lake in the Adirondacks. Lake George, yes. This boat was painted from a photo of people soaring across the waves of Lake George, located in the Adirondack Park. The vintage wooden boat was a summer splendor of the wealthy during the height of tourism to the Adirondacks. Still a sight to behold as they race to some unknown destination!
I love the background of this painting- I kept it loose, but still very colorful with the bright greens and the hint of shoreline. I enjoyed painting the spray of water the wooden boat made when it tore across the blue water. This original oil painting would make great gift for any boater or water enthusiast, especially an Adirondack lover.
